Some stones stop you. You see them in the bazaar and you know, immediately, that you cannot leave without them. An emerald with a particular depth, an imperial topaz, a sapphire that refuses to be ordinary. Edition is what happens when I buy the stone first and build the piece around it. There will never be another.
