TERMS OF USE

1. Who we are
This website is operated by JVK Consulting Limited, trading as "Joséphine Blackett", a company registered in England and Wales.

By using this website or placing an enquiry or order with us, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order.

2. What we sell
We design and sell fine jewellery made to order. Nothing on this website is held as ready stock; every piece — whether from a permanent collection line or a bespoke commission — is produced only after a confirmed order. Production takes place through our manufacturing partner in India.

2.1 Collection pieces
Collection pieces are pre-designed. Placing an order is an offer to buy at the price and specification shown at the time of order. Full payment is taken before production begins.

2.2 Bespoke commissions
Bespoke commissions follow a design process:
• An initial consultation to understand your brief, budget and timeline.
• Up to three complimentary creative proposals for your review.
• Once a design is chosen and locked in, a deposit of 50–60% of the final price is payable before production begins.
• The remaining balance is payable in full before the finished piece is shipped.
Where a client asks us to source and hold a specific gemstone ahead of a final design, payment for that stone is taken upfront and is separate from the piece deposit.

3. Pricing and payment
Prices are quoted in the currency shown at the time of your enquiry or order and are correct as of that date, but may change for future orders (for example, due to movement in gold or gemstone prices). Once a price is confirmed in writing for a specific order, we will honour it.
JVK Consulting Limited is not currently VAT-registered in the UK. Depending on your delivery location, import VAT and/or customs duty may be payable on arrival; where we offer delivered-duty-paid (DDP) shipping, these are included in the landed price quoted to you. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of order.

4. Cancellations and refunds
Because every piece is made to order, the following applies:
• Collection pieces: you may cancel and receive a full refund only if production has not yet started. Once production has begun, the order cannot be cancelled.
• Bespoke commissions: the three initial creative proposals are complimentary and non-binding. Once you lock in a design and pay the deposit, that deposit is non-refundable, as it covers design time, materials sourcing and the start of production. The final balance, once paid, is also non-refundable except where the piece is defective or does not match the confirmed specification.
• Any gemstones purchased upfront on your behalf are non-refundable once purchased, as they are bought specifically for your commission.
This does not affect your other legal rights, including your rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods.
Please note that the statutory right to cancel a distance-selling contract within 14 days does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, which includes bespoke and made-to-measure jewellery.

5. Shipping and delivery
Estimated production and delivery times will be given to you at the time of order and are not guaranteed, given the handmade and often cross-border nature of production. Risk in the piece passes to you on delivery. Where DDP shipping is used, we arrange customs clearance and prepayment of duties on your behalf; where it is not, you are responsible for any import charges due in your country.

6. Care, warranty and repairs
We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship. If a piece arrives with a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 14 days of receipt so we can arrange an inspection, repair or replacement. This warranty does not cover normal wear, damage from misuse, or alterations made by a third party.

7. Intellectual property
All designs, sketches, photography, text and other content on this website are the property of JVK Consulting Limited / Joséphine Blackett unless otherwise stated, and may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without our prior written permission. Placing a bespoke commission does not transfer

design rights in that design to you; you receive the physical piece, not a licence to reproduce its design.

8. Acceptable use of this website
You agree not to use this website in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it. We may suspend or restrict access to the site at any time without notice.

9. Liability
We provide this website and our products with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your order will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your own country of residence.

11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order will apply to that order. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
